Join Family To Bid Saitoti Farewell Featured
The burial ceremony of the late
Internal Security Minister Prof. George Saitoti is currently underway at
his Ostrich Farm in Kitengela, Kajiado County. Leaders from all walks of life
and top Government officials are streaming to the ceremony which is being
conducted by Cardinal John Njue.
President Kibaki arrives accompanied
by Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka. Thousands of mourners including Government
officials and regional leaders are present. Former Kenyan and Ghanian
Presidents Daniel Moi and Jeremiah Rawlings John are present. Prime Minister
Raila Odinga, his two deputies Uhuru Kenyatta and Musalia Mudavadi were among
the first leaders to arrive. The requiem mass for the late Saitoti was
held yesterday at the Holy Family Basilica. Saitoti was among the six
government officials who died in a plane crash on Sunday morning in Kibiko
forest, Ngong. Others who died in the crash were Saitoti's Assistant Minister
Orwa Ojode who will be buried tomorrow at his Ndhiwa Constituency, and four
other Government officials. The six were heading to Ojode's Ndhiwa constituency
